HAQQ NIKAH PRIVACY POLICY

Haqq Nikah respects your privacy and recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information, photographs, video, audio, and other information entrusted to us.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Haqq Nikah may collect, how that information may be used, when certain information may become public as part of a Haqq Nikah Marriage Introduction, and the choices available to participants and visitors.

Haqq Nikah is a Muslim marriage-introduction service. Marriage is the intention from the beginning.


1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Haqq Nikah.

Information you voluntarily provide may include:

• Full name
• Public display name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Age
• General location, such as city, region, state, or country
• General occupation
• Current marital status
• Information about whether you have children
• Information about whether you desire children in the future
• Willingness to relocate
• Information you choose to provide regarding your Islamic practice
• Information about your interests and everyday life
• What you are seeking in a spouse
• Marriage non-negotiables
• Marriage, home, and family goals
• Photographs
• Video recordings
• Voice or audio recordings
• Written answers submitted for a Marriage Introduction
• Communications with Haqq Nikah
• Wali, wakeel, family, or other contact information when voluntarily provided for a marriage inquiry
• Other information you voluntarily provide to us


2. HAQQ NIKAH MARRIAGE INTRODUCTIONS

Haqq Nikah allows eligible participants to create a Haqq Nikah Marriage Introduction.

A Marriage Introduction may be created through:

• A Haqq Nikah video interview
• A self-recorded video
• A voice interview presented with photographs
• Other introduction formats that Haqq Nikah may offer in the future

Marriage Introductions are intended to allow serious marriage prospects to see the person, hear the person, and learn information relevant to considering whether there is enough initial interest to pursue a serious marriage inquiry.

A Marriage Introduction is not intended to establish compatibility or determine whether two people should marry. Further investigation and appropriate family or wali involvement remain important parts of the marriage process.


3. PRIVATE INFORMATION AND PUBLIC INFORMATION

Submitting information to Haqq Nikah does not mean that every piece of information submitted will be made public.

Certain information is collected for Haqq Nikah's administrative, communication, verification, or operational purposes and is not ordinarily intended to appear publicly.

For example, a participant's private contact information, such as a personal email address or phone number, will not ordinarily be included in a public Marriage Introduction unless the participant separately authorizes its publication.

Other information may be intended for inclusion in a public Marriage Introduction. Depending on the participant's submission and authorization, this may include:

• Public display name
• Age
• General location
• General occupation
• Marital status
• Whether the participant has children
• Whether the participant desires children
• General information regarding Islamic practice
• Interests and hobbies
• What the participant is seeking in a spouse
• Non-negotiables
• Marriage and family goals
• Photographs
• Video
• Voice/audio
• Other information the participant has provided for the purpose of the Marriage Introduction

Participants should not submit information for public presentation that they do not want disclosed publicly.


4. PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEO, VOICE, AND MEDIA

When a participant voluntarily provides photographs, video, voice recordings, audio, written answers, or other media for a Haqq Nikah Marriage Introduction, Haqq Nikah may use that material as authorized by the participant and the applicable Consent & Publication terms.

This may include editing the submitted material for:

• Length
• Clarity
• Formatting
• Presentation
• Audio quality
• Video quality
• Organization
• Social-media presentation

Haqq Nikah will not intentionally edit a participant's statements in a manner designed to materially change their meaning.

Marriage Introduction media may be published on platforms operated or used by Haqq Nikah, including Haqq Nikah's website and social-media accounts.

Once material is published publicly on the internet or social media, other people may view, save, screenshot, record, download, share, repost, or otherwise distribute that material beyond Haqq Nikah's control.

Haqq Nikah cannot guarantee the deletion or removal of copies made or distributed by third parties.


5. PARTICIPANT REVIEW AND PUBLICATION

Where Haqq Nikah offers a participant the opportunity to review a completed Marriage Introduction before its first publication, the participant should review the introduction carefully and promptly communicate any material concerns.

Publication approval does not prevent a participant from later requesting removal of the Marriage Introduction from platforms controlled by Haqq Nikah.

However, removal from Haqq Nikah-controlled platforms cannot guarantee removal of copies, screenshots, recordings, reposts, search-engine caches, or other material held or distributed by third parties.


6. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Haqq Nikah may use information we collect to:

• Review participation requests
• Communicate with participants
• Conduct Marriage Introduction interviews
• Create and edit Marriage Introductions
• Publish authorized Marriage Introductions
• Facilitate serious marriage inquiries
• Respond to questions or requests
• Operate and improve Haqq Nikah
• Maintain records of consent and communications
• Protect the integrity and safety of the service
• Investigate suspected fraud, misrepresentation, misuse, or violations of our policies
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
• Protect the rights, safety, and property of Haqq Nikah, participants, or others

Haqq Nikah does not sell participants' submitted photographs, video, voice recordings, or personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.


7. MARRIAGE INQUIRIES, WALI, WAKEEL, AND FAMILY INVOLVEMENT

Haqq Nikah is designed to encourage serious marriage inquiry rather than casual dating or endless private conversation.

When genuine marriage interest develops, information may be exchanged as reasonably necessary to facilitate the next stage of a marriage inquiry.

Depending on the process being used, this may involve the prospective spouses, a wali, wakeel, family member, or another person appropriately involved in the marriage process.

Haqq Nikah will not ordinarily publish private wali, wakeel, or family contact information publicly unless the person providing that information has authorized such disclosure.

Individuals remain responsible for conducting appropriate investigation and exercising judgment before proceeding with any marriage prospect.


8. TRUTHFULNESS AND ACCURACY

Participants are expected to provide truthful and accurate information.

Haqq Nikah may ask questions, request clarification, or take reasonable steps to address concerns regarding materially inaccurate or misleading information.

However, Haqq Nikah cannot guarantee that every statement made by a participant or prospective spouse is true, complete, current, or accurate.

Haqq Nikah is not responsible for independently verifying every statement concerning a person's character, religious practice, marital history, finances, family circumstances, employment, health, intentions, or other personal circumstances.

Marriage prospects and their families should conduct their own appropriate investigation before marriage.


9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

Haqq Nikah may use third-party services to operate portions of the service.

These services may include providers used for:

• Online forms
• Website hosting
• Email
• File storage
• Video or audio communication
• Social media
• Analytics
• Business administration
• Other technical or operational services

For example, Haqq Nikah may use Jotform to collect Brother Participation Form submissions.

Information submitted through a third-party service may also be processed or stored by that provider according to its own privacy policy, security practices, and terms.

Haqq Nikah does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party service providers.


10. SOCIAL MEDIA AND PUBLIC PLATFORMS

Haqq Nikah may publish authorized Marriage Introductions and related content on social-media platforms.

These platforms may include services such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, or other platforms used by Haqq Nikah.

When content is published on a third-party platform, use of that platform is also subject to the platform's own privacy policy and terms.

Public Marriage Introductions may be viewed by people who are not registered with or known to Haqq Nikah.

Participants should understand the public nature of social-media publication before consenting to publication.


11. WEBSITE INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL DATA

When someone visits the Haqq Nikah website, certain technical information may be collected automatically by Haqq Nikah's website provider or other service providers.

Depending on the services being used, this may include information such as:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device type
• Operating system
• Pages visited
• Approximate location derived from an IP address
• Referring website
• Date and time of visits
• Cookies or similar technologies

Haqq Nikah may use this information for website operation, security, analytics, troubleshooting, and improving the visitor experience.

Haqq Nikah does not sell personal information for the purpose of allowing unrelated businesses to independently market products or services to participants.


14. DATA RETENTION

Haqq Nikah may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide and administer the service
• Maintain participation and consent records
• Respond to inquiries
• Resolve disputes
• Protect against fraud or misuse
• Maintain appropriate business records
• Comply with legal obligations
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

A request to remove a public Marriage Introduction does not necessarily require Haqq Nikah to immediately destroy every internal record associated with that introduction. Haqq Nikah may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for legal, consent, security, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes.


15. REQUESTING REMOVAL OF A MARRIAGE INTRODUCTION

A participant may contact Haqq Nikah to request removal of their Marriage Introduction from websites or social-media accounts controlled by Haqq Nikah.

Haqq Nikah will make reasonable efforts to remove the content from platforms under its control.

However, Haqq Nikah cannot guarantee removal from:

• Third-party reposts
• Screenshots
• Screen recordings
• Downloads
• Search-engine caches
• Archived webpages
• Social-media shares
• Copies made by other individuals or organizations
• Platforms or accounts not controlled by Haqq Nikah

Participants should consider this limitation before authorizing public publication.


16. CORRECTION OF INFORMATION

If you believe information maintained or published by Haqq Nikah about you is materially inaccurate, you may contact us and request a correction.

Haqq Nikah may request reasonable information to verify your identity before making changes to personal information or taking action on a request.


17. SECURITY

Haqq Nikah takes reasonable administrative and technical steps intended to protect information in our possession.

However, no website, online form, email system, file-storage system, social-media platform, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Participants should use reasonable caution when sending sensitive information electronically.

Please do not send highly sensitive information that Haqq Nikah has not requested.


18. CHILDREN AND MINORS

Haqq Nikah Marriage Introductions are intended for adults legally eligible to pursue marriage.

Haqq Nikah does not knowingly solicit Marriage Introduction participation from children under 18.

If Haqq Nikah becomes aware that personal information from a child under 18 has been submitted without appropriate authorization, we may take reasonable steps to remove it.

Participants who have children should not submit unnecessary identifying information about their children, such as children's full names, schools, addresses, or other information that could unnecessarily identify or locate them.


19. SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Marriage inquiries can involve personal and sensitive subjects.

Participants should provide only information reasonably necessary for the Haqq Nikah process and should avoid unnecessarily submitting highly sensitive information through public or unsecured channels.

Certain sensitive matters may be more appropriate for private discussion during serious marriage investigation rather than inclusion in a public Marriage Introduction.


20. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Haqq Nikah website or social-media pages may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Haqq Nikah is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of websites or services that we do not control.

You should review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing personal information to them.


21. NO GUARANTEE OF MARRIAGE OR COMPATIBILITY

Haqq Nikah provides a marriage-introduction service.

Haqq Nikah does not guarantee:

• That a participant will receive marriage inquiries
• That an inquiry will result in marriage
• Compatibility between individuals
• The truthfulness of every statement made by another person
• The character or conduct of another participant
• The success or duration of any marriage
• Any particular religious, personal, financial, or family outcome

Individuals and families remain responsible for conducting appropriate investigation and making their own marriage decisions.


22. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on applicable law and the nature of your relationship with Haqq Nikah, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

You may contact Haqq Nikah to request, where applicable:

• Correction of inaccurate information
• Removal of a public Marriage Introduction from Haqq Nikah-controlled platforms
• Information regarding personal information maintained about you
• Deletion of certain personal information, subject to lawful or legitimate retention requirements
• Withdrawal of certain permissions for future use, where applicable

Some requests may be limited by legal obligations, recordkeeping requirements, previously authorized public distribution, third-party activity outside Haqq Nikah's control, or other lawful reasons.

Haqq Nikah may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the person making a privacy request before acting upon it.


23. UNITED STATES SERVICE

Haqq Nikah currently serves Muslims seeking marriage in the United States.

Information may be processed and stored in the United States or in locations where Haqq Nikah's service providers operate.

If you access Haqq Nikah from outside the United States, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.


24. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Haqq Nikah may update this Privacy Policy as the service develops, technology changes, or legal and operational requirements change.

When material changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be posted with a revised effective date.

Continued use of Haqq Nikah after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to the updated policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
