Marriage Introduction Participation & Media Policy

Purpose

Haqq Nikah Marriage Introductions are designed to help Muslims who are seriously seeking marriage learn enough about a prospective spouse to decide whether they would like to make a serious marriage inquiry.

This policy explains how photographs, video, audio, personal information and other materials voluntarily provided by participants may be used by Haqq Nikah.

1. Content You Provide
Depending on the introduction format you choose, you may voluntarily provide Haqq Nikah with photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, biographical information, answers to marriage-introduction questions and other information necessary to create your Marriage Introduction.

You should not provide information or media that you do not want Haqq Nikah to use in accordance with this policy.

2. How Your Content May Be Used
By consenting to participate, you authorize Haqq Nikah to use the photographs, video, audio, approved name or identifier, biographical information and statements you provide for the purpose of:

• creating and editing your Haqq Nikah Marriage Introduction;
• publishing your approved Marriage Introduction on Haqq Nikah's website and social-media channels; and
• sharing or promoting your Marriage Introduction itself through Haqq Nikah's channels so that prospective marriage partners may discover it.

Haqq Nikah will not sell your submitted photographs, video or voice recordings to third parties or use them to advertise unrelated products or services without your separate permission.

3. Review Before Publication
You will have an opportunity to review and approve your completed Haqq Nikah Marriage Introduction before it is first published.

Haqq Nikah will not knowingly publish a Marriage Introduction that you have declined to approve.

4. Editing
Haqq Nikah may edit submitted or recorded material for length, clarity, formatting, sound or image quality, presentation and consistency with the Haqq Nikah Marriage Introduction format.

Haqq Nikah will not intentionally edit your statements in a way that materially changes their meaning or represents you as saying something you did not say.

5. Truthfulness and Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for providing truthful and accurate information to the best of their knowledge.

Publication of a Marriage Introduction does not constitute an endorsement, verification, or guarantee by Haqq Nikah regarding a participant's identity, character, statements, marital status, background, compatibility, or suitability for marriage.

Prospective spouses and their families remain responsible for conducting appropriate inquiries and investigation before marriage.

6. Private Information
Information collected for registration, administrative, verification, or Serious Marriage Inquiry purposes is not automatically considered part of a public Marriage Introduction.

Haqq Nikah will not intentionally publish information designated as private or collected solely for private registration, administrative, verification, or Serious Marriage Inquiry purposes unless you separately authorize its publication or disclosure as part of the marriage process.

7. Requesting Removal
You may request that Haqq Nikah stop actively displaying your Marriage Introduction on websites, social-media accounts and other channels controlled by Haqq Nikah.

This may be requested at any time, including if you marry, are no longer seeking marriage or no longer wish to participate.

Haqq Nikah will make reasonable efforts to remove the Marriage Introduction from channels under its control.

However, once material has been made public, other people or services may have shared, downloaded, recorded, indexed, cached or reposted it. Haqq Nikah cannot guarantee deletion of copies outside Haqq Nikah's control.

8. No Guarantee of Marriage
Haqq Nikah facilitates marriage introductions. Participation does not guarantee that you will receive inquiries, find a compatible prospective spouse or marry.
Haqq Nikah does not guarantee the truthfulness, intentions or conduct of another participant or person who makes an inquiry.

9. Participant Consent
Before submitting media for publication, participants will be asked to affirmatively consent to participation and acknowledge this Marriage Introduction Participation & Media Policy.
Participation is voluntary.

10. Changes to This Policy
Haqq Nikah may update this policy as the Marriage Introduction service develops. The effective date displayed above identifies the current version.
Changes to this policy do not retroactively expand Haqq Nikah's permission to use a participant's submitted media beyond the permission previously provided without obtaining any additional consent that may be required.
